Oxalic acid Bernburg 40 mg/ml – Varroa concentrate for bees

Oxalic acid Bernburg 40 mg/ml is a proven medication for the effective control of the Varroa mite. It is suitable for both trickle treatment in winter and spray application in summer and shows its best results in broodless bee colonies.

Scope of delivery

• 1 x 230 ml concentrate
• Bottled in a 500 ml bottle – ideal for later mixing of the ready-to-use solution.

Application in summer – spray (3% solution)

Preparation of the 3% solution

• Mix 230 ml of concentrate with 200 ml of drinking water.
• Shake well until everything is completely dissolved.

dosage

• 2–4 ml per side of the honeycomb completely covered with bees
• For partially occupied honeycomb sides, correspondingly fewer.
• Swarms and artificial swarms: 20–25 ml per kg of bee mass

Application in winter – drip application (3.5% solution)

Preparation of the trickle solution

• Heat the concentrate in a water bath to approximately 30–35 °C.
• Add 222 g of sugar
• Shake well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

dosage

• 2–4 ml per occupied comb space (depending on hive size)
