This universal Nuc box is a well-designed and modularly expandable system that meets even the highest demands of modern queen rearing. Thanks to its flexible internal layout and robust construction, it is equally suitable for breeding, mating the queen at your apiary or mating stations, transport , and even overwintering small colonies.

Divisible for 4 queens with 3 Mini Plus frames each or 2 compartments with 3 Dadant Blatt honey super frames.

The basic equipment of the nucleus includes:

• Ventilated, removable base with stainless steel quick-release fasteners ( Nicot brand, France ) – simple, secure connection to the body.
• Double-insulated thermal cover with weatherproof aluminum outer cladding – optimal protection against rain, sun and temperature loss.
• Stable hardwood feet – resistant to mechanical stress.
• Frame with integrated feeding chambers : Generously sized feeding pockets are located in the side walls for safe and efficient refeeding.

Flexible interior layout – adaptable to any breeding situation

The interior can be divided in two ways:

• 4 compartments , each for 3 Mini Plus

• 2 compartments , each for 3 Dadant Blatt honey supers or stacked mini plus frames

Each incubation compartment is sealed separately with an individual cover plate , while still allowing access to the feed chambers – ideal for targeted monitoring without disturbing neighboring units.

Intelligent flight hole technology for optimal orientation

• Aluminium flight holes on all sides allow clear orientation of the queen during her mating flight – no getting lost .
• Adjustable in 4 ways via rotary valve (outside):
  • (A) Opening for female workers
  • (D) Opening for drones
  • (K) Opening for queen
  • (0) closed with ventilation
• Internal flight hole guidance reduces the risk of the queen being trapped.
• Landing boards under each entrance hole, wax-sealed for better weather resistance.

Expandable and winter-proof

• The hive body is modular: expandable with additional frames. In combination with Dadant frames, the box is ideally suited for overwintering small colonies with a reserve queen.
• The angled wall base makes it easier to pry open putty-bound parts with a wood chisel – especially useful in everyday life.

Insulated hood with thermal effect

The double wall structure of the lid creates an insulating air chamber – a natural thermal effect that protects the box from overheating in summer and cooling down in winter .
